Terms of service

1. Service provider

Snap Back (the "Service") is operated by Manuel Somoza Vázquez, domiciled in Sarria, Lugo, Spain, tax ID (NIF) 34310301M. For any question related to these terms, write to info@snapback-ai.com.

2. Purpose

The Service lets the user upload a photograph and obtain an AI-generated version that reinterprets that image in the visual style of a given decade. The result is a synthetic image: it is not a real photograph or a historical record, and it does not purport to represent facts.

3. User account

Using the Service requires creating an account with a valid email address. The user is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide and for safeguarding their credentials, as well as for all activity carried out from their account.

Minimum age. The Service is intended exclusively for people 18 years of age or older. Creating an account is not permitted for anyone under that age.

4. Acceptable use

The user agrees to upload only photographs they hold rights to:

• their own photographs, or
• photographs of third parties who have given express consent for this specific use.

Uploading or generating the following is expressly prohibited:

• images of minors;
• sexual, violent, discriminatory or hateful content;
• images of real people intended to impersonate, defame or harass them, or to attribute false statements or acts to them;
• material protected by third-party rights without authorization.

The user is solely responsible for the images they upload and for how they use the results.

5. Content filtering

Generation relies on third-party models that apply their own content filters. Some images may be automatically rejected by those filters even when they comply with these terms. The Service will inform the user when that happens, but does not guarantee that every valid photograph can be processed, nor does it assume responsibility for such rejections.

6. Intellectual property

About the images the user uploads

The user retains all rights to the photographs they upload. By uploading them, the user grants the Service's operator a limited, non-exclusive and revocable license, solely to process them in order to provide the requested service and to store them for display in the user's history. This license does not authorize using those images for promotional purposes or for training models.

About the generated images

The user may use the generated images for personal and commercial purposes, share them and print them. Note that, under the law of several countries, works generated entirely by artificial intelligence may not be eligible for copyright protection; the Service does not guarantee exclusivity over the result.

About the Service

The brand, design, software and other elements of the Service belong to its operator and are not transferred to the user.

7. Plans, payments and cancellation

Access to the Service requires a paid subscription. The current plans, with their price, billing period and generation limit, are published on the pricing page. Each plan states whether it is billed weekly or monthly. Prices are shown in euros, include applicable VAT, and payment is processed by Stripe.

• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (weekly or monthly, depending on the plan) until the user cancels them.
• Cancellation. It can be cancelled at any time from My account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, during which access is retained. Partially used periods are not refunded.
• Limits. Generations not used in one period do not carry over to the next.
• Price changes. Any change will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply from the next renewal onward.

Right of withdrawal

Consumers residing in the European Union have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract. Since the Service consists of the supply of digital content, by requesting the first generation within that period the user acknowledges that performance has begun and that, under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, they lose the right of withdrawal with respect to that service.

8. Availability and quality of the result

The Service is provided "as is", without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Results depend on generative models whose behavior is probabilistic: quality, likeness and fidelity to the requested style vary depending on the source photograph and cannot be guaranteed. Dissatisfaction with a particular result does not entitle the user to a refund.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the liability of the Service's operator is limited to the amount paid by the user in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to it. The operator is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or the rights that consumer-protection law mandatorily grants to consumers.

10. Suspension and termination

The operator may suspend or cancel an account that breaches these terms, in particular section 4, with no right to a refund. The user may delete their account at any time from My account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: uploaded photographs, generated images and history are destroyed.

11. Changes

These terms may be updated. Substantial changes will be communicated by email or through a notice in the Service with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after they take effect implies acceptance.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Lugo, unless applicable consumer-protection law establishes a different, mandatory venue for the consumer.
